Re: Birds

Out the other day looking for squirrels which decided to stay in bed, when i noticed a bit of movement on a distant tree. I could not see what was making it so sed the camera on a high zoom and got this hot of a Treecreeper.

Not that good but gives hope of using it on future occasions for distant birds as i cant get close now due to mobility problems.

Re: Birds

Thanks Nom, I don't think I have ever seen a Treecreeper..... but if I now did, I am sure I would recognize it from you photo.

Re: Birds

Thank you, they are lovely aren't they?
Can you help with this? I don't have a photo but there is a bird that visits my garden ever day and he looks like a long tailed tit, but hasn't got the long tail.
Somebody told me it might be a coal tit, but my sister said it isn't dark enough. Any suggestions may help me to find out.

This is a Coal tit Twink, so i can see why you may think thats what it is. Ive found at feeders they tend to dart in and fly away with their food rather than feed on the feeders.

Re: Birds

The long tailed tits tend to stay close to the feeder and take it in turns for the whole family to get some food, but this one, without the long tail, comes on his own, eats a bit and then flies off. He probably visits around 10 times a day..... just like the blue tits and great tit do.
