I hope they don't u turn, a lot of this can be sorted out with a bit of compromise. Perhaps we may have to do things differently, grow more here or find a way to ship it directly here both ways cause more jobs for uk. I doubt any of the sellers or that port will want to lose our trade, so they'll have to find a way to make it work or accept big loses.

In the SUN Newspaper today - The PM should stand up to the Remoaners and the Lords , who want to wreck Brexit. How can she? At heart she is one of them

It should have been out as soon as the results of the vote was known. All these problems just would not have occurred or at least solved in a few days

What an inefficient system, transferring goods from one ship to another for another journey onwards to Britain. Perhaps the answer would be to build our own deep water container port to miss out that stage and receive our own goods direct?

Good idea Barry.

And just where would you build this super port??? How much land would you need???, how much dredging would need to be done??? How much building of warehouses, cranes, transport and infrastructure would be needed??? then there's the question of planning applications???

Let's face it, even if there was a site chosen, and work began tomorrow, the port would not be ready for the next decade. So, given that 'Brexit' starts next year or the year after - what will you do for the next eight or nine years???

Defeatist attitude!!

If build we must then so be it!

It's a brilliant idea and could be a great economic boost for somewhere up North like Teeside or the Humber.

All your queries are eminently solvable so settle down!
