Re: Cheese on toast

A firm fan of the snack here!! And I almost always have a craving for it when away on holiday and look for a cafe that does it, for lunch.

Re: Cheese on toast

A question for you all , I've been buying mature cheese from Morrisons and I've noticed when I grill the cheese (,,on toast ) it doesn't melt completely it seems to be dry and not soft and spready like it used to be . Anyone else noticed this .

Noooooooooo Susie darlin', not Tomato Ketchup, Cheese on toast just cries for some Lea & Perrin Worcestershire Sauce.

I buy my cheese from a cabin in our market, Susan, and it always seems OK. Don't really trust supermarkets.

Re: Cheese on toast

I've also got some basic grated cheese from Tesco - £5 per kilo, £2.50 per 500g. It's very mild but good for the money.

Some cheeses are £12, £14 per kilo and not worth it in my opinion. I agree Worcestershire sauce is best for cheese on toast although my chutney isn't bad.

Re: Cheese on toast

I like it when the cheese gets to the point where it has just started melting but remains in shape.
