Re: Football fans in Marseille

I think those who fight at football matches must be brain dead

What other reason could there be to travel hundreds of miles in order to watch a match and risk ending up in a foreign prison or hospital where you don't get to see the match.

I have often criticised the Frogs, but I can well understand their hatred of the English when they see the behaviour of our football yobs. I find them disgusting too.

Trust you Morti.
I expect bum remarks like that from you.
What a revolting thought.
But for Goldie to come dancing in.
Now that is a surprise.

The photos of them fighting and the injured, turns my stomach and sickens me. I hate violence.

Russia to be charged over violence.
No charges or allegations levelled at English fans.

Northern Ireland fans attacked by Polish fans(?)

Local French hooligans involved in all violent outbreaks.

Seems to be a pattern forming.

Re: Football fans in Marseille

The Russian fans have been sanctioned in previous football tournaments because of the violence of their supporters. The authorities knew what they are like and yet they provided little police cover.

I watched the game and was disgusted and saddened by the sight of those Russian fans trying to get up to the English fans. It must have been very frightenening.

I think considering the recent terrorist attacks in France and the logistical nightmare of having to police the world cup it is deplorable that anyone from any country should behave badly during the event.
