Printers

Does anyone know of a printer that lets you customize the size of prints?
I've got an HP Deskjet 2542 which only lets you print certain sizes, it's driving me nuts!
I wanted to print off a passport size photo for my bus pass but it only does bigger or smaller ones! Also never prints the right size for frames!
Bearing in mind I have a low budget, I'd welcome recommendations please.

If you have program on your computer like MS Word you can use that to print any size you like on an A4 sheet.
And there are lots of photo editing and printing programs available for free on the net.

I've tried that Malcolm, but when you try to print a chart comes up with their options on, you can't choose any other.

Re: Printers

We bought a photo printing dock recently and that does passport size photoes really easily. It's a Kodak easy share I think.

Get a new printer then they are only about £50 these days.
I have an Epson ... Does a great job and the cartridges are very cheap too, not like the HP

can you not resize the photo first using a editing program Tess, plenty free on the net, before directing the printer too it.

Re: Printers

I had a Kodak before this one Julie and didn't like that one either. I had a Lexmark years ago, that was brilliant I wonder if the new ones are any good.
I'm not that clever Nom!
I wasted a load of paper and an hour trying on Works, very difficult to get right size.

I think it'll be easier to go to a booth!

It's clever the Kodak dock I can either attach my camera with a cable or use an sd card or grace can sit her Kodak camera into it with no cable, even works wire free if you have that type of camera.
