Hello from Me

Hi Everyone

I’ve been lurking a bit. I signed up about a week go but would now like to say hello.

I just realise that “50” is a very special and specific milestone... but I only left school 5 minutes ago and I kind of feel “hey just a minute I was watching that....” and here I am suddenly!

This forum looks extremely friendly and inclusive. I have joined special topic forums in the past relating to my interests and my work but found that there are members there who will spend half a day drafting and compiling and writing a post (which is in effect to themselves/their ego) in answer to my question to tell me how wrong I am. That’s not a complaint, just an observation. That said, it doesn’t fill me with confidence, when I lacked it in the first place!

I’m trying not to look to the past, or to the future, but I’d love to make some friends online that I can ask daft questions of, have rant and share a joy too. I have lots of all those things!

Welcome to the forum. I see you are in the next county along from me (Devon). Odd weather we have been having this week. This morning we had torrential rain for all of ten seconds then brilliant sunshine.

Know what you mean about the time flying, I still jump everytime I get called granny ! Thats my mother !

Welcome Silver, this is a very friendly forum, I am sure you will find like minded friends here.

I foolishly belonged to another forum which had some very unpleasant individuals, so am enjoying being back here after a long while away. There is enough conflict in society without dealing with it online.
