Wobbly and slow and very unreliable

I'm sitting in our caravan, the site is offering free WiFi to try and attract campers and tourers who apparently aren't coming in droves due to lack of broadband.

My title says it all. Its dreadful.

My husband popped down to the managers office to see if it was on properly and yes this is as good as it ever is in the village near us.

I can only say I am shocked ! How can people run businesses and stay in touch on line with this level of service.
Its like old dial up but worse !

Is much of the country like this ? Or is Sussex just unlucky ?

Sounds like our village on a Sunday morning when more that three people are trying to use the internet at once.

We are doing well this morning, the neighbours son is still in bed....

I'm truly amazed meg I didn't realise people still had speeds like this ! I'm betting you don't pay less either its a scandal IMO !

Julie we are battling away do do something about it but we are in a 'grey area' apparently . No reduction in price for a poor service

If you have a petition or anything else needs help meg point me in that direction and I'm sure other members would add their weight too. Just give a yell.

Julie darlin' - you're obviously the wrong side of the downs - just a few miles down the road from you and I haven't any complaints at all.

That's part of the scandal IMO that they can provide decent broadband to some and not a few miles down the road shows they could if they wanted.

That'll be a first Joe,not so much broadband but its the mobile reception around here,3g is variable let alone 4g.

BT & Virgin have concentrated their optic fibre cable replacement on the coastal strip South of the Downs. Those who live to the North of the Downs in the Weald have not yet had their phone and broadband cables replaced. Furthermore they are a long way from the 'phone exchange.
