We're trying to steer away a bit from the pastry/bread/pasta thing. Not totally but we look for alternatives. Mrs K made a mangold quiche the other day and instead of using a pastry she lined the baking form with sweet potato. I'm sold. It was delicious.

Having never really eaten spicy foods like curries I find those things very tasty leeks sweetly oniony, asparagus beautiful peaish, courgettes delishiously courgetty. I rarely use salt too and potatoes taste fantastic far more potatoey than if you add salt.
