The fall in the £

Hi

The markets have spoken, the £ has fallen to an 8 year low and inflation has risen as a result.

The amount of Interest we pay on our vast National Debt is linked to these factors, in particular Inflation.

Our borrowing costs, the Interest we pay on this debt, has now risen by 18% since last year, another £7.6 Billion a year.

Another round of austerity to come, 30% more than we have had already.

We still need to borrow £60 Billion just to stand still this year.

I know where it should end - squarely on the doorstep of those who voted for Brexit. IMO it is surely going to end up in tears for a lot of ordinary hard-working folk.

I have a feeling the remainers at top of the tree are deliberately going to make it harder for us, don't blame the leavers we just used our votes, Cameron was the man who gave us the choice and ran away like a scared kid when he didn't get answer he wanted.

Re: The fall in the £

The value of the pound has nothing to do with remainers. In July 2015 we had 1.42 Euros to the pound, we now have 1.08 Euros to the pound. The change is Brexit the reason is that we have no plan. People sell currency when they lose confidence in the economy.

If value has nothing to do with remainers it can't have anything to do with leavers either. If you want to lay blame look at Cameron who had no plan. IMO that was treason.

We definitely agree about Cameron Julie. I cannot believe that he was allowed to walk away.

Can I asked why you voted for something that hadn't been planned Julie?
I'm genuinely interested
