PIP -v- Disabled.

Yet another report that demonstrates very adequately that the scumbag 'nasty party's' changes to disability payments have failed miserably and disabled claimants are suffering as a consequence.

I can certainly relate to this report. Before my wife's recent PIP assessment, the stress levels were enormous, which did her heart condition no good at all. Luckily, even the DWP could see that her disabilities were such that she was, unfortunately, completely unable to work and they awarded her PIP for 10 years (which is as close to the old "indefinate DLA" as they now award).

Any changes are stressful for people reliant on benefit, everyone knows that and it's disgraceful they've caused so much stress to obviously ill people.

I'd be interested to know how much they actually saved over the past few years because it seems to me the savings aren't worth the stress they cause to genuine claimants.
