Re: A Very Happy Gorilla.

I cannot view the video posted but think it may be the one of the gorilla having dancing in a bath.

Wonderful creatures, and I cannot justify in any way their captivity. One day we (humans) will look back and say " and we kept wild animals in cages ?"
Unfortunately, these captive animals can not go back into the wild, due to the fact they take diseases and cannot fend for themselves.
These primates are the only species that share the same blood group as humans and the similarities in their emotions, life skills, and family orientation are so very similar to our own. It makes me sad to see them caged as their natural instincts have never been able to be fulfilled.

This video is quite wonderful.

They can go back to the wild but many have never been in the wild they are zoo bred .
The idea of zoos is not just for people to see wild animals close up but to keep a gene pool of animals for when they become extinct as they most likely will do in the future ,
The mountain gorilla one of the worlds endangered species .

Several species tha have been eliminated in the wild have been reintroduced from zoo stock .

This is one of the latest
