Lol that makes me think of Del boy. I never had one of those. I resisted getting a mobile until 2000 when everyone suddenly had one. I didn't even get a smartphone until last year!

I use 2.....not quite a yoof but getting there....with a little more practice I'll be up to 5 words per minute.

Once I have found my reading glasses, and fumbled about trying to locate the message icon on my phone's home screen to read text with a font size that I have increased under the "accessibility" settings , I am fairly confident that the younger generation can assess my age...long before I've typed the first letter...with one finger....

Sigh.

My mobile is usually found lurking at the bottom of my handbag or - occasionally - a cat bed ! It is an ancient, tiny Sony thing that was bought for 'emergencies' which haven't happened yet. It is kept charged and credited - but stays switched off.

I have never understood the craze for being permanently accessible - if I am out - then I am out, leave a message on my voicemail !

I must be a fossil because on my present phone I have to use one of the little 'dobber' thingy's, like a pen.
