If using comparison sites, be careful.
Some that appear to be insurers are in fact brokers.....and many brokers that are listed are the same brokers trading under different names.

When I was comparing car insurance quotes 5 of the top 10 quotes were all from the same broker but under different names and the difference in those prices was about £300...a total con.

Give RIAS a call.

They reduced last year's premium to below the previous year's when I casually mentioned that it had gone up.

Then again, this year's premium is a few quid less than last year's.

How many insurance companies reduce their premiums?

I'm rather dubious at some of the companies, as their quotes are too low! I imagine that some portions of a policy are not included, so bumping it up when you enquire further.

Was too busy kitchen spring cleaning today to phone, but I have another two weeks.
