The Irish

Hi

We are being held to ransom by Ireland and Vardarkar.

Northern Ireland is also holding the rest of the UK to ransom.

Theresa May is totally beholden to the DUP, she has given them another £1 Billion.

The Northern Irish already get, paid for by the English, Scottish and Welsh, 21% more funding person than the rest of the UK.

Any reason why we should not cut back on funding to the same levels as the rest of the UK ?

Ireland, both North and South, are playing us for Mugs.

Time to get going, no more excuses, no more funding.

No more funding, a simple choice, take it or leave it.

You get the same as anybody else.

Re: The Irish

It's more expensive to live in the ROI .
Northern Ireland as Swims has said is heavily subsidised by the UK.
The ROI probaby doesn't want Northern Ireland either it would be an expensive luxury they would have to pay for it.

And your evidence for this is? Can't remember any polls or referendums taking place over the issue.

I don't see how we want unification when we keep voting in DUP to stop it happening

Even some of the Unionists are coming round to the possibility of re-unification, as a means of stopping a 'hard' brexit and the imposition of border controls again.

There hasn't been a referendum on the issue since 1921, a lot has happened since then and the hard-line unionists are not as numerically strong as they once were, so lets go ask the 'people' whether they want re-unification or not - a referendum BOTH sides of the border in accordance with the 'Good Friday' agreement.

There will be no border controls. There's no need for border controls between the North and South. They - the Irish and the DUP are just nothing using Brexit to get what they want - both sides wanting different

Even before we and Eire joined the Eu, there was no hard border as it came under the special trading agreement between the UK and Eire. There was always free movement of goods and services. The ' hard border' was only in situ during the troubles

Even before EU we travelled back and forth from England and Eire as British citizens with no requirement of passports
