Who's Andrew Rawnsley? Isn't he the journalist chappie? I don't remember a Health Secretary by that name in the Conservative party.

The great problem with "experts" per se, is that they never seem to agree with one another. No doubt the reforms were brought in after consulting with "experts" and now another set of "experts" raise doubts about those decisions. It's a bit like eating, one day eating butter will block your arteries and kill you and the next day eating butter is the best thing you can do, all depends on which "expert" you happen to talk to....

That's true and of course politicians are always 'experts' when they are not in government.

(That's been a while now for Labour).
