Spirit of Harborough
Today in town we had the Spirit of Harborough in the town centre where local food and drink was for sale plus you could buy a £3 map of a "Food Trail" where if you followed clues to local businesses you could have samples s of their produce to try.The town seemed quite busy with visitors and the with the warm sunny weather and free parking ( see my other post) I took the opportunity to have a good walk up the high street and around the shops. To be honest I have never really noticed before what a nice town I live in. Nice shops, pubs and places to eat.
I did break with my strict eating regime and had a lamb, halloumi and rocket salad burger with a small glass of mild brewed in our own Market Harborough Brewery.
Eaten sitting in the town square watching the crowds.
I did say it was a festival for local food so the lamb in the burger was locally raised and I believe the halloumi had been trap caught this morning in the local park and humanely despatched

Sounds like a lovely day MC and you know, the odd cheeky burger isn't going to do any harm, just not every day or even every week.
