Spirit of Harborough

Today in town we had the Spirit of Harborough in the town centre where local food and drink was for sale plus you could buy a £3 map of a "Food Trail" where if you followed clues to local businesses you could have samples s of their produce to try.

The town seemed quite busy with visitors and the with the warm sunny weather and free parking ( see my other post) I took the opportunity to have a good walk up the high street and around the shops. To be honest I have never really noticed before what a nice town I live in. Nice shops, pubs and places to eat.

I did break with my strict eating regime and had a lamb, halloumi and rocket salad burger with a small glass of mild brewed in our own Market Harborough Brewery.
Eaten sitting in the town square watching the crowds.

I did say it was a festival for local food so the lamb in the burger was locally raised and I believe the halloumi had been trap caught this morning in the local park and humanely despatched

Sounds great MC. I do like a food festival. In fact we have one coming up locally soon.

Hi MC great to hear you are getting out and about and clearly getting stronger by the day.

I am also glad you still have your independence and didn't allow anyone to shunt you off somewhere...

Well done ...

But with every day you get stronger and get your own flat more to what they consider a home, the more they will realise you are just fine coping on your own, with emergency help not far away if you need it, they will soon start leaving you be

Sounds like a lovely day MC and you know, the odd cheeky burger isn't going to do any harm, just not every day or even every week.

Bet it tasted bloody good though
