As I have mentioned before I have never liked thunderstorms, especially when I was a child. I was relieved when any bang I heard was mine being exploded on the beaches of my home island during the 50s and 60s. When I was visiting the island during the early part of this century, there was a lightning strike 6 inches in front of my foot, people at first thought I had been hit by it!

I quite like thunder storms and it's peculiar but my cats don't seem to be bothered by them too much they sit on the stairs till it's over....then carry on as normal

Me too susie. Tirzah was up at the window watching the storm with me the other night. She also likes watching fireworks. In fact, nothing phases her at all. My other cat is scared of her own shadow.

My Nan used to turn her mirrors over and make sure all cutlery was in a drawer.

Rhian, did you have any flooding? I heard that parts of Wales got it quite bad.

I always disconnect the TV aerial in a thunderstorm.

My gran did that too LD she also used to say, that's the milk turned then meaning the storm had turned the milk sour?
