Beholden to the Chinese
Nothing against the Chinese, but it did make me cringe seeing Osbourne and Boris cuddling up to them to get them to come on board with us. Again Germany got there early and are settled - a Chinese reporter said to Boris - 'You're a bit late aren't you' ...... The aim is to have China support the Nuclear plants we need.We're always bloomin late - and now we look like desperate prats ..... Oh Gawd

China has long been tipped as the next superpower so it's inevitable that we will have to get in their good books I suppose. I was disappointed to read that the Chinese are investing in nuclear energy in Britain.Some schools in the UK (according to the news anyway) are now teaching Mandarin to primary school children to gear them up for global work.

Very true Alan matey, but wou;ld you live next door to a nuclear power plant built for us by the Chinese???
