Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Thankfully son no1 got back to Wales last night.Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
That's it then, we are officially snowed in. Micky can't get the tractor up the lane to the road and my road is drifted in well and truly. No carer's in or out, I'm on duty and the only carer who is here is staying, bless her. I made a huge casserole for the lambing family but if they can't get here, we'll eat it!Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Snowed again last night and snowing a bit again this morning, but not quite so windy.Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Feel sorry for the family who are stuck at Groesvaen. Micky dug his lane out yesterday (drifts over the top of the hedge) and it has filled back in again by this morning. The water to the sheds has frozen so carrying water to the sheep by the bucketful - never ending. And ewes and baby lambs stuffed in every corner.Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Poor you Sue ,lucky with the carer though. I remember getting snowed in on duty in Singleton . A patient who lived locally was called in for a minor op because most lists had been cancelled was so grateful he gave me £50 to share out . Most of the nurses who were sleeping overnight and the Porters went up to the Vivian Arms and had a good night . We made mini snowmen and put them in the freezers to show to patients next morningRe: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
The snow is slowly thawing-can see a bit of green on the lawn.
