As I said I've never been to one so have no idea but it would still feel wrong to me some of the things mentioned.

I don't usually stay in hotels with having a dog.
I wouldn't actually take anything including toiletries, it wouldn't occur to me to do so , I have my own .

They are and you are given a supply to last for your stay, and room occupancy. Same with hospitality tray.

I like my own toiletries so all I do take on leaving is a shower cap .

if its posh toiletries I take them, otherwise I don't use them at all

Im allergic but they are handy to have at home for when guests stay here

I take the pen if theres one

Some hotels Ive stayed in have had little sewing kits and little first aid kits, Ive taken those.

Some hotels have the price list for the robes, pillows , duvets in the room and I think its premier inn that take orders for their mattresses , which I have to say are bloody comfortable

I stay in many hotels, all over the world.
I usually take my own toiletries.
Hubby will use those provided, but we have never bothered taking any home.

Same here, and when we have stayed in the odd hotel I didn't take anything. Nor did I use anything of theirs except the towels.

I usually stay in Premier Inns or Travelodges, being budget, (though from some prices you'd not think so), they rarely have anything you can take home, even the soap is in a dispenser on the wall.
