Hi Annie
Yes, Pistorius is known as Blade Runner and the first amputee to compete in the able-bodied Games.

Ahead of his trial for allegedly murdering girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp next week, news has emerged that Oscar Pistorius has a new girlfriend. Leah Skye Malan, 19, is said to be dating gold medal-winning Paralympian (and sometime Olympian) sprinter who has been on bail ever since shooting Reeva through his bathroom door four times on Valentine’s Day 2013.

Though his relationship with Leah is early days – they met while on holiday in Mozambique in December last year – she’s said to be very supportive of him and her family have welcomed him with open arms. 'They both seem really into each other,' a source told The Sun. ‘She’s helped support him through this difficult time and has introduced him to al her family. They have embraced him.’

Though Oscar is said to use disguises when he goes out on dates with Leah, the pair have been spotted near to her parents’ farm in Potchefstroom, two hours from Johannesburg, where she goes to uni.

Oscar’s trial begins on Monday and will be televised. He says that the incident was an accident - that he was acting in self defence and had mistook Reeva for an intruder. He also posted on his website on the anniversary of her death: ‘No words can adequately capture my feelings about the devastating accident.'

Re: Oscar Pistorius

What's the latest on this case does anyone know?
The news has mostly been full of William and Kate on their travels and I haven't heard anything about Pistorius lately.

I fully concur, but since Oz has apparently taken to them so well, why don't YOU keep 'em permanently - and that will make our job of converting to a Republic so much easier.

Re: Oscar Pistorius

It's always good to have a go at a Royal on a quiet news day seems the murder trial was on the back burner due to the Royal visit.

The murder trial is in recess until May 5th. it has nothing whatsoever to to with the Royal visit.
