Re: Boxing Day Hunts.

It is unlikely any political party would end Fox hunting completely. There are to many vested Interests. If they were to do that what about mink hunting? or Stag hunting? Grouse Hunting? Do you oppose them too?

What do you mean vested interests?
That too many MPs and wealthy people hunt foxes?
They can drag hunt if they want to gallop about thinking they are jorrocks.
Hunting with dogs HAS been bannned or are we to have an Orwellian situation that only some are subject to the law of the land ?
There is absolutely no good reason to kill a fox with a bunch of dogs .

Hi

I agree completely, they devastate our native wildlife.

My local Fishing Club trap them, and then shoot them.

We have otters as well, they are native and leave them well alone.

The idiots who feed Foxes are also disturbing the balance of Nature.

Foxes have a place in our natural ecology, they leave me alone, I leave them alone.

We have massive chicken farms here, and loads of small holders with chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys.

Loads of local kids have pet rabbits, the idiots who feed them foxes just cause problems, attracting them to cause problems.

The UK Fox population is much higher than it should be, it is wiping out some of our native species such as water voles.

Let Nature take it's course, do not feed them.

Re: Boxing Day Hunts.

There is no need to feed or kill foxes as they are self moderating.
They are the friend of the arable farmer as they kill rabbits rats and mice something that is also rife in towns as refuse bins are at times overflowing .

Re: Boxing Day Hunts.

It appear that sadists are now crossing lurchers with Staffordshire bull terriers making a fast pit bull type .They use them for 'lamping' hunting at night with lights.
A fox is not a speed animal and while it has a chance on a one to one basis using two of these animals it has no chance .
What is it with cruel people ?
I would gladly set some dogs on them .

Hi

Why on earth should we kill hares ?

They are few and far between and cause minimal damage to crops.

Rabbits are different, I shoot them and eat them, simple pest control.

Re: Boxing Day Hunts.

Yes vegan chick you are right.
The mink in the wild is a formidable predator and just shows how man can upset the balance of nature.
Mink coats always remind me of truest ghastly useless women .
Princess Margaret comes to mind .
