I think for the most part we are products of our environments(rearing) and our life experiences. If we have mostly positive experiences and interactions with others during the course of our lives, then more than likely we enter new relationships with positive expectations.

There are always exceptions of course and I think "gut reactions" or instinct should never be ignored.

That being said, I try to approach each person with an open mind.

Take people as you find them. Don't ever listen to other's opinions. Some people are opinioned and biased about other people. Quite often they can be narrow minded. I've come across that so many times.

I have an open mind when meeting Folks for the first time,some I like instantly,some not....I remember when I was around 9 yrs old going Home to My Grannies and crying because one of My school Friends said She didn't like Me..She said "some Folks will take to You and become good Friends,some won't,some will love You,some may even hate You,that's life,deal with it" ;~)

If someone doesn't like me then there isn't a lot I can do about it. I'm more interested in getting to know people. If they don't like me then that's fair enough.
