Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

Lot of dashing about yesterday, not least because I had an appointment at the surgery to get an eye test for the diabetes. Turns out my eyes are A.1 and no problems discovered. Because of that I had a 'make do' meal yesterday after I returned from the surgery.

Today will do better and cook a 'proper' meal - steak & Kidney pud with steamed potatoes and fresh veg and a little gravy.

Rest of the tin of potatoes I opened yesterday with carrots and broccoli and did fish for meat eater and baked a small goats cheese for me. TBH I won't be doing that again it wasn't nice at all.

Reduced price pork loin chops, reduced price rice, and a sachet of mushroom sauce (that was in the cupboard). Dessert, cheap choc mousse with a sprinkling of nuts in.

Lunch was beans on toast and milky coffee, in a café near where I used to work (meeting old colleagues). And bought for me!

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

Picked up a small, boned and rolled shoulder joint of Welsh lamb yesterday at Tesco which was reduced for second time and so was £2.50. Bargain! As already have large selection of veggies I can feel a stew and suet dumplings coming on for Saturday, will start it tomorrow and let it sit 'till Saturday.

Lunch time today I had a couple of boiled eggs, and dinner tonight was un-died smoked cod loin, creamed spuds (put through ricer) and petit pois.
