Pretending global warning doesn't exist, or isn't caused by the pollutants we are putting into the atmosphere is STUPID!

How do you explain 'Global Warming' and Global Cooling' before we were around then Tara?

Based on your theory Tara the climate has been static since the beginning of time.....

I don't understand the ins and outs of global warming, but the fact that our climate has changed quite drastically in a short period of time appears to suggest that human activity is to blame. Far better to act as if it is a fact and try to cut down on greenhouse gases.

Previously in history 'Faster Changes' have been observed from time to time Tara......An Ice Age suddenly descended upon the world so fast that it wiped out just about every living thing on the planet....

I would agree that pollution is making life very difficult for the human species and must be reduced. However, pollution occurs on a local scale and once the offending polluter has been removed, mother nature exerts her natural ability to return the environment back to normal.

There has been some massive amounts of pollution released into the atmosphere in the past. Volcanic Eruptions and a couple of hundred Atomic Bombs tested around the world. Krakatoa, was the largest explosion ever recorded on the planet. It's shockwaves resonated around the world three times.
So much debris and ash was thrown up into the atmosphere, that night descended on London after debris blocked out the sun.

By instigating 'Smokeless Zones' in London, the smog that used to engulf the city is now a thing of the past. Fantastic examples of how this planet is 'Self Cleaning'
But we are talking mainly localised events and for these relatively small amounts of pollution [by world standards] to affect the climate would be [in my opinion] a serious over exaggeration. It would be like taking a 2000 watt fan heater outside and expecting it to heat up the village.

As with all these frightening stories about fire and brimstone descending down upon our heads, because we enjoy driving down to the shops or keeping our houses warm in the winter, Scale [The size of the planet and it's surrounding atmosphere] is never taken into account.

Re: Diesel cars

Cattle are by far the greatest producers of 'greenhouse gas' they belch out around 70 to 120 kg of Methane per year.

Quite true Malcolm, and all plants [Photosynthesis] churn out Carbon Dioxide after the sun goes down....
Also, rotting vegetation in lakes and ponds produces Methane as it breaks down.
