If a noise disturbs your sleep
Open the curtains, take a peep
Twill only be your garden gnome
Doing his best to guard your home.
Standing by the old log pile
With his rosy cheeks and cheeky smile
He's really like a little mate
Toiling away until it's late.
And so he stands there day and night
Working under your solar light
And when you feel you're on your own
You're not, you have your garden gnome.
There you are my dear.
Don't you feel a tad more kindly towards him now?
