Because they have been living here as those entitled to permanent residence. Why should a political decision change their current status? People have made plans, started families and invested in Britain. Now they are being told they are worthless just like those in Windrush they were invited here to help grow our economy. They did just that.

Windrush generation........invited by HM Gov't to help the nation in a crisis, ergo welcome and appreciated.
EU Immigration..........Forced on the UK by the EU regardless if they are needed wanted or the country's communities and infrastructure can cope.....ergo not so well tolerated.
Arranged marriage immigration........neither wanted, needed or sustainable......ergo must be banned forthwith......

Invited here by Tony Blair & others to grow our economy. Doing jobs nobody wants to do any more - building, cleaning, factory work, agriculture. Yes there are a lot of parallels but it can be difficult for some to see the connection when influenced by constant negative press.24-04-2018, 09:29 AM
