Gutters and Downpipes

My gutters are about twenty five years old and shewing their age. White turned to grey in places. Can't use Alu as the salt air here on the IoW would eat it away, so copper seems the best long term answer. Although it turns black eventually it has also has superior mechanical strength.

Question - has anyone installed copper or any opinions please?

Something like this might be an unusual talking point for the neighbours perhaps?

Re: Gutters and Downpipes

I recently replaced our gutters. The old ones were plastic, but had been put up by a cowboy and were in many cases sloping down away from the downpipes!
Apart from the poor positioning, the gutters were sound.
Nevertheless, I thought I'd replace the lot.
The materials were not expensive, and the fitting was quite straightforward.
