BTW, I've edited my original post. Talking about the two dogs together got me mixed up. (Not difficult). They were years apart.
The poodle was a 'he'. The retriever was a 'she'.
I put the 'he' as a 'she' in my original post

Confused? Me too

Re: Favourite Breed

I'm an animal lover and always have been...my favourite breed of dog is the English Bull Terrier. Since before I was born...my parents bred them, showed them and sold them as family pets... Our home was always a fun place to be with so many of these amazing dogs in it...

These dogs make wonderful pets and are great with children...as well as having an awesome sense of humour...thus nicknamed The clown Breed. My last Bull Terrier was Storm and she lived to be 15 years of age, passing in 2004. The sweet girl I have now is Gracie and she just celebrated her 13th, birthday on Friday, April 13th...

My son and his wife breed English Bull Dogs and Shepherds... And, my daughter has a mixed breed of Black Lab, Rottie and Boxer... It really surprised me that my kids didn't own EBT's too...

Any-who...here is a picture of Storm and another of Gracie...

Miniature Schnauzer
Staff
Wolfdogs
Boxers
Bedlington
To be honest, I can't stop......
My neighbour had one of these. Great dogs, hers was a complete nutter, but in a nice way.

Re: Favourite Breed

Old English Sheepdogs, my folks used to breed them and they were play mates when I was a nipper. I have had them all my adult life, in twos and threes. Except the dog I have now....he's a huge cross breed but looks like a black Old English Sheepie.

I love both Dogs and Cats, but have never owned a Dog before, always Cats, but I love my own Cat, Coco the Ragdoll, she is the best.

Re: Favourite Breed

I like most breeds but have had Miniature Schnauzers for over 50 years getting my first ' Honi ' in 1964.

She was a gift from a lady who bought her to found a kennel in South Africa but decided although beautifully bred she wasn't suitable so she gave her to me.
What a wonderful little dog Honi turned out to be, I had her for almost 17 years

A few of my Mini friends...

Millie,Matty, Flicka, Franny, Emma ..

Re: Favourite Breed

What a great photo Meg

I'm not well up on Schnauzers as a breed ... Now don't ban me from the forum, but they do remind me of elderly gentlemen with those long eyebrows and beards
