Re: Pain killers

At the moment I am on 8 paracetamol a day and I have also got a bottle of liquid morphine to take 5 to 10 mls at a time. I was in really bad pain one night and just took a swig instead. Pain went that night and wasn't back till next afternoon. 😲

Re: Pain killers

Tramadol, Naproxin, paracetamol, ibruprofin, co-codamol, codeine phosphate, asprin.
Not all at once. I rotate between the tramadol and naproxen and take the others if I need them.

Re: Pain killers

I'm not good with painkillers and rarely take anything. I occasionally get really bad back pain (nerve rather than muscle) and diclofenac was the only thing that touched it. Now I just wait a few days for it to go away.
My wife, on the other hand is on morphine patches and enough co-codamol daily to kill me outright.

Re: Pain killers

I take paracetemol if I have a headache which usually works.
For a hangover, the only thing which may work is a bloody good breakfast and plenty of fresh air.

Re: Pain killers

Hi

I have had a number of serious Injuries.

Pain killers have been part of my life for the last 30 years.

They are addictive, so 3 weeks on, 1 week off.

The week off is horrible.

I attend Pain Clinic, met a great Doctor there last year.

I was prescribed a palliative care medicine.

It really works, a knock out, no pain and a good night's sleep.

It works for me.

Re: Pain killers

I was taking 8 tramadol and 8 cocodomol a day but recently I've managed to get off the tramadol and only take 6 cocodomol plus ibuprofen gel, I'm allergic to ibuprofen orally but found rubbing into joints and muscles works wonders.

Re: Pain killers

I try never to take any meds at all if I can help it. On very rare occasions I have taken Paracetamol.
