It won't stay up...

The MOT is due on my son's car(presently off the road)so today I decided to run it down for a test.

To my disappointment if found the tyre to be flat. I pumped it up but within 10 mins it was flat again.

Now, as I'm going to buy him some alloys and tyres for his birthday(August) should I.....

Buy a tin of the foam puncture stuff?

New tyre?

Professional repair?

As I am getting him new alloys and tyres I don't want to get new.
I suppose a part worn would be good.

Tpin, I don't think you should ever penny pinch with tyres. Your son's safety is paramount....says she who has just paid for two run flats on her daughter's Mini to enable it to pass the MOT!

Call me odd but I really hate part worns etc we had a very nasty accident few years ago in a friends car because he had a part worn on the drivers side that burst. Scared me enough to think never take a chance with tyres.

I think it's great in this Country how manufacturers are so concerned about our safety, we have to pay double for it.

Put the spare on and take a chance not getting another puncture in the meantime.
