Radio controlled boats, planes, and cars.

This is one of my hobbies. Mostly it is planes but I still have 2 yachts, and recently I bought a car.
I have also played with FPV (first person view) that I have had on some of my aircraft, and recently stuck a system on the car.
Anyone else played with these 'toys'?

I like watching the boats on the lake not so keen on the planes though as some people seem to think it's fun to buzz the dogs and it terrifies them.

It's the fools that do this are responsible for getting the flying sites closed. And then the first to moan.

Re: Radio controlled boats, planes, and cars.

My OH makes & flies R/C planes, he & his pals, in the flying club, on private land they lease, have switched from fuel to electric models now, due to the pressure from people about the noise levels. They weren't that bad, the houses aren't that nearby either, but, people do like to complain.
He must have 20+ planes & he is never going to be able to fly them all.

All my planes are electric. This is what renewed my interest some years ago.
Gone are the days where it was balsa wood and paper covered models. It is now foam and models that can be assembled in a day.

My OH makes his of balsa etc. from plans, he hates the preformed type. He had to convert them to electric.

Some of my OH's planes.

And some of their wings.

This is his favourite.

That's a nice collection. Looks like most of them are covered wood. Any foam in that lot?
