Are they?
I always thought white reflected heat and black absorbed it?
Hence the letterbox look so the eyeballs don't fry.

Re: Over 50's Club England

That was interesting ... and you're right, it's to do with circulating air and convection inside loose fitting robes.

I found another interesting nugget or two of info..
https://www.quora.com/Is-it-better-t...Why-or-why-not

Whilst black does absorb heat better ... whites reflective properties also means if your body's hot and sweaty inside you clobber the white reflects it back onto you, whereas black would absorb it , helping to cool you down.
Add to that UV rays penetrate white easier than black.
These desert trotters do know what they doing .. afterall they should know best.

Hid the blood stains?

It does make you wonder why it took so long for some bright spark to suggest ... camouflage.

Re: Over 50's Club England

Good Morning anyone.....

A cloudy day, with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle, and mist and fog over some hills, although with some brighter spells in the south-east. It will also be breezy, particularly near the coast and a little milder than yesterday..

.................Or at least that's what the weathermen say

Re: Over 50's Club England

Good Morning anyone.....

A windy day, particularly through the morning, with winds easing a little during the afternoon. Otherwise, largely dry with sunny spells, but feeling cool, with heavy and thundery showers possible later in the afternoon, mainly in the north.

.................Or at least that's what the weathermen say
