Re: Trochanteric bursitis.

The good thing about my complaint is that it doesn't hurt while I'm resting it. It doesn't even hurt too much when I'm steady walking on the flat.

It hurts most when I get up from a chair - I literally can't move until I jiggle it about a bit and even then, I walk with a very bad limp for a few minutes.
The other times it pains me is walking upstairs and hills.

Re: Trochanteric bursitis.

I can't believe the last time I posted on this was March!!

I have had to give up my energetic walks in the countryside - even the slightest hill got it hurting. It started to get worse - it hurt me in bed at night like a bad toothache.

Finally I had an MRI scan - the bursitis was confirmed and a steroid injection advised.

I had it yesterday. Now I've got to rest up for a while to let it take effect and hopefully the end of my problem (fingers crossed)
