Town in Lockdown.

What on Earth is going on? First time in my life I've ever come across this. Do any of the Forum Members live here?

Hi

It may well be, I have no idea.

What I do know is this.

When I was working nights with the Police, following the cuts, we had insufficient Police Officers to close a Nightclub.

I had determined it was an immediate risk to life and limb, the fire doors where chained up, we had to wait until coachloads came from another Police Force.

Re: Town in Lockdown.

A sudden burst of excitement in Cromer would be a bird walking across the road, or perhaps one of the streetlight bulbs flickering. No wonder they had a lockdown with all those boozers in high spirits.

Re: Town in Lockdown.

It appears that the problem has been caused by Travellers in 23 caravans arriving in Cromer and fights breaking out. Such a shame, I love Cromer, a lovely 'old fashioned' seaside resort. Had some lovely holidays there.

Teenager raped by two men at Cromer bus stop
Just down the road:

Man raped and robbed in Great Yarmouth attack

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-40993247

He was assaulted and had his phone stolen near Regent Road, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

Officers were called shortly after 03:30 BST and the scene has been cordoned off while inquiries were being carried out.
I hope that this is not normal for Norfolk .....

Re: Town in Lockdown.

Apparently people were walking into shops and just helping themselves to goods. Like opening a bottle of champagne and swigging it there and then. Must have been frightening for locals.

Re: Town in Lockdown.

I don't believe it. Not those lovely travellers. Someone will be along soon to back them up.
