I had an apprenticeship to enable me to become an electrician, not to keep `my position in life` but to support and better myself which the apprenticeship allowed me to do. It allowed me to earn a living and then start my own successful business to support my family.
About time you stopped reading the Socialist Worker and stepped out from behind your narrow bigoted view and own sense of victimhood.
It's no sin to be born in the gutter but it is a terrible sin wanting to remain there
There's nothing wrong with being happy with your lot Judd, I've been a cleaning most of my life my husband a manual worker, we enjoy our work and our lives. Neither of us want more responsibility at work ambition just isn't on us for that. But you'll never see happier people.
That's not a terrible sin in fact if more were like us we might all be happier doing the jobs we currently see Eastern Europeans shipped in to do.
Nothing wrong with ambition but equally nothing wrong with being happy in your more basic job.
