Very slowly, trying to find a sparkly top is impossible, nothing about this year, that I could afford, may have to get the sewing machine out! Got my bustle planned, lots of sparkly stuff on a roll from The Range...also found a pattern for a top hat which is going to be white with snowflakes "falling" out of the top on clear plastic strips. Made a corset out of some Xmas place mats!

I like the diving suit idea Twiz, only thing that would put me off is there might be too many more with the same idea, looking at images for the film ’20,000 leagues under the sea’ there’s not a lot to choose from barring the diving suits and the Octopus, the striped vest on Kirk Douglas and the pants with the large buckle belt might be something, and Peter Lorre’s suit has a kind of steampunkish look about it, it could be improved on with larger lapels, a flashy colourful waistcoat, big brass buttons, and a hat of your own creation, still as I say not a great selection, except of course the ship itself and that would have to be upright or else you’d never get into the ballroom.
