Anyone for croquet?

At our latest Steampunk Gathering there was croquet, I missed it because my car broke down and I arrived too late (missed the Tea Duelling as well, drat!)
I would love to learn to play it as it seems quite gentle and easy.
Does anyone here play?

Looks fun to me. Not sure there are any rules are there? Don't you just hit a ball and try to get it through the hooped pegs? I mean it was made for old fogies who struggle to remember what day it is, to keep them occupied when they would be a bother otherwise. You just whack away, smile and be happy.

Re: Anyone for croquet?

You put one behind the other I think, each player has two different colour balls. I'm off to study the rules! There is a fairly local club, I may look into joining if it doesn't cost much. Other than that I'd have to mow the grass!
