The Independant is owned by two Russians ( father and son) and 30% by Sultan Muhammad Abuljadayel He works for National Commercial Bank, which is controlled by the government of Saudi Arabia.So two Russians and a Saudi
How this affects its editorial integrity I wouldn't know but I would hardly describe it as Independant anymore .
The Metro is owned by the DMGT ( the Daily Mail General Trust )
