CQUniversity’s Associate Professor of Indigenous Engagement, Henrietta Marrie is the subject of this stunning artwork by mural artist Claire Foxton who completed this work in May 2018 in Cairns. Stories are everywhere, they even tower over me. Obviously, Claire has visited Cairns and I regret not photographing her actually painting.
Claire painted her first large scale mural in 2016 triggering a love for public art. Combined formal education and self-taught: Claire’s trademark style centres around photorealistic subjects.

The Green Tree Python, Morelia viridis. What a creature... and it only lives at a place at the end of the world...
The Kutini Payamu (Iron Range) National Park on the Cape York Peninsula in Queensland. How lucky we were. It was just basking in the leaf litter on the ground and it's camouflage didn't quite work so well.
