Thank you all for your help, I'll be having a go later, I got one urgent repair job to finish first.
I had to go back over the fence with another coat of wood preservative earlier today.
As I sat on a small stool merrily splashing away I got to thinking how the preserving agent in the paint prevents the wood from wrinkling and withering and finally falling to pieces, then I had a brainwave.
What if one used this stuff as a beauty treatment? The principle is so simple, if you paint a coat of preserver over a surface that is subject to all weathers, heat and cold, it will protect it, so if a woman wants to keep that schoolgirl complexion all she has to do is paint a good thick coating of this red oak coloured paint on her mug every morning before she goes out, bingo!, no wrinkles ever!
There may of course be a few side effects, there always are in beauty cases, in olden times they used arsenic and lead in cosmetics, the “side effect” was an agonising early death.
I remember an aunt of mine tried the seven day beauty plan and turned into a frog, she must have been allergic to something in the cream, well she looked like a frog with the huge swollen eyes and puffed up face, but her skin, although bright green in colour, was smooth and shiny, not a wrinkle in sight. She sued them and got a lot of money, she now has her own secluded pond in the Phoenix Park.
Anyway the ladies don’t seem to mind a bit of suffering just to look beautiful do they.

Hi guys just had a note from RJ to say he won't be coming back to scribbles - he had 6 yrs of it and that is enough. I replied and said we of course understand but still miss him greatly. He may stay on this entire site just not be on scribbles. So you may see him around. Sad for me as RJ and I go back way before scribbles as we started a sort of poetry group that didn't last too long but it was good whilst it lasted. Cheers
