Went out to have a look - beautiful round moon - then I took photos!
Given that I am a happy snapper rather than a photographer - I still don't see why some of these are so distorted - is it light pollution combined with cloud perhaps? Anyway - here they are:-

Looks like the man in the moon's old sock !

I kept popping out to look last night and the moon looked very bright but no larger tbh. I think my view of it was wrong and it's best when seen on the horizon. I tried taking a few pics but I think it was just too bright. I'm relying on other members to show some good shots.

This was about the best I could get.
