Having shown Sue on youtube some of the accidents in the UK versions of dashcam videos made her change her mind and let me put one in her car

I have one in each of my cars. Have not captured anything, but 3 near-misses: was waiting to turn and a pedestrian started to cross against the light just as a car went through the intersection (legally) in the lane beside me, second time was a skateboarder fell off his board and into the street ahead of me (far enough ahead that we avoided each other), and 3rd time was cyclist in winter was riding too close to the snowbank along the edge of the road and slipped and fell (again, far enough ahead for us to avoid each other). In all cases, no actual accident but a few seconds later in each case would have been a different story...and the dash cam would have been valuable.
I think it is great that more and more people are getting them.
