You can lead a horse to water

On a recent hot day in a rainforest creek near Cairns this horse and rider appeared.
After the horse had a very long drink, it started to stamp and lift its hooves splashing the cool water onto itself.

This has been happening for as long as I can remember. Thanks to the local fire brigade for giving up your Christmas eve to do this for our community once again, and to all the businesses who donated lollies. Have a Merry &safe Christmas to you all.

We have a similar tradition at our house, every year the State Emergency Services (SES) and the Fire Dept get together to give the kids a thrill. You get a flyer in the letterbox telling you when Santa will be coming down your street on Christmas Eve and the kids line up waiting for him. It's so good of them to give up their time.
