Flew overhead



it was some distance away but managed to get this shot. What plane is it? Spitfire??

It looks like a Spitfire, Realspeed. I say yes, it is. Good to spot it.

I'd say a Hurricane, judging from the wing shape and the radiator position .....

according to Eastbourne air show info ,,the Spitfire was the only one flying today. Sue looked it up on the net
We can always tell when it is not a common fly over plane by the engine noise. One year we had wellington bomberfs fly over and what a racket they made. Had Red Arrows yesterday in formation flying overhead

Although the TV and press think the Spitfire was our saviour, the Hurri shot down far more enemy aircraft during WW2, was more robust and quicker to repair and get back into action. It had far more roles than the Spit, worldwide.
