Hi Julie I know a couple of people who found ginger helpful when on chemo. Organic ginger cordial is good or make your own with fresh ginger and lemon.

Hope all goes well for you .

Re: Bad news / good news

Julie my very best wishes for your chemo treatment, I underwent IV chemo last year, so know what you are going through. A mention has been made of ginger, I used to chew crystalised ginger for queasiness. You will get the very best care by the Oncology staff, mine were lovely. Take care and keep up the good fight.

Re: Bad news / good news

Julie I would think you will be on the 3 weekly IV chemo. I found the the first 10-12 days were the worse for side effects then you start to feel better for the last week or so, till you have to go back for another session.
I was quite ill but some people didn't suffer much at all, so keep looking on the positive side.

We will all be thinking of you and sending hugs

Re: Bad news / good news

Hi, Julie. I have been wondering about you too. It's positive news that you are already getting on with this round of treatment, and I hope that there is no nausea, but if so, you might ask your physician about Ondansetron. This is an anti-nausea medication often given in tandem with chemotherabpy, and was prescribed when my daughter went through a course of chemo last year.

You are wise to get plenty of rest and to find something to keep your mind happily occipied. Good thoughts your way!
