Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Took the little boys to the cinema this afternoon to see "The BFG" - anyone else seen it? I can recommend it, lots of bits in it for the adults as well as the children. When I think of how much I read as a child I can't imagine how I completely missed out on Roald Dahl.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I thought exactly the same Sue. We lived at the other end of the road to the local library. I would get a book in the morning, read, and change it in the afternoon. Was Roald Dhal around when we were little?

Nice day here, not too hot, not too cold. Just right.

Care company been in for updates etc, now awaiting GP to visit.

Raining here today and then some blue skies. I don't remember reading any Roald Dahl books when I was younger.

I'm going to be a great-grandmother in FebruaryMy granddaughter told me two weeks ago but was sworn to secrecy until she had her first scan. Strange to think that my son is going to be a grandfather! Bought baby wool yesterday, glad I've kept some baby knitting patterns.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Congratulation rhosyn, how lovely. Nice to have an excuse to get those needles out.

Wall to wall sunshine this morning. Walked dogs now going for an exciting time at Tescos. Picked up my old dogs ashes on Thursday, brought it home to me that she's really gone.

Care still going a well, almost too frightened to tempt fate. It's so nice as carers from other companies we have had are transferring to this company to be with Michael. Nurses we have had in the past are also find out he's home and coming on the package. It makes such a difference.

Anyone stay up to see the Olympics? I didn't and hopefully will be able to download on Sky later. Rio brings back many fond memories of the time we spent there.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Morning all. No I didn't stay up to see the opening of the Olympics Celyn, but I expect to be watching lots of bits in the coming days. Up early this morning and off to Llandrindod to do some shopping, so back by 10 am and treated myself to an hour on the patio reading the paper and drinking coffee. Have also managed to pick some more runner beans, so my favourite lunch again, bacon and beans and possibly a courgette!

Glad to hear the care package is going well (fingers crossed), so glad Michael is home again.

Congratulation Rhosyn. What are you planning on knitting? I've just started cross-stitching Christmas Cards (bit cheaper than buying another tapestry kit!
