Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 3)

Fed up to back teeth. Went to turn heating on (hope those White Rabbits are snug and cosy in their burrows) and discover that the boiler is not lighting - hence, no heat. Have gas fire going in Rob's room and the electric fire in here. Summer, huh!!

Jac I've watched BB a few times and I'm disgusted with some of their antics.Heavy showers here this evening its more like winter than summer.

What a wild night. Is half the beach on your lawn Jac? I put my electric blanket on for an hour before bed and had a good night's sleep despite the wind. It's a little calmer this morning, but not much. Going to light the dining room fire and cook a chicken dinner for the family later.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 3)

The sea was spectacular last night . I didn't draw my curtains and lay on settee with fire blasting and glad I wasn't a sailor .I was a bit worried because a lone surfer was in until nearly dark , I wish they wouldn't go in alone but even if they had a friend with them it would be difficult to help if they got into trouble
Been invited to Linden Tree for lunch so I will try and go. Its still like winter and I've got winter woollies back on . Hope you get your boiler fixed Sue
Sorry but doubt I will make it on Sat Nimby . I can get a lift from Clydach but its still a bit of a drive back and I don't feel safe enough to drive far

Boiler fixed, thank goodness. It was only the gizmo that starts it up, so not a big job. Needless to say the temperature has gone up and we don't need the heating now! Would love to have seen that sea Jac, the moon is just coming out from behind the clouds here and that is pretty spectacular.
Hope your friend is better soon Enfys.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (Part 3)

Just driven back from playing bowls at Whitton and although I left there about 9.45 pm it wasn't quite dark. Just think folks, we're only 20 days away from the longest day of the year! It's been a really nice day here. Actually went out without a coat. And had strawberries for tea.
