thanks OGF. I have asked the same in a photographic site I belong to. Still undecided as this has had very little use . The camera along new was £1189
lens over £500 so you get a rough idea of how much this lot cost new

MPB Photographic will give you a price for both sale or trade in.

You could also have a look at what they are selling them for.

Re: getting a valuation on this

I don't want to sell to trade for them to make a lot of money from them. I have a rough idea what I would like for them, but what I would want is maybe not what anyone would pay.

I am quite happy to keep it all, but if someone wants a good starter kit and offer a reasonable price that would be a consideration
The battery charger MH-21 and EN-el 4a (2) new is around £350

So if to buy this lot new I think would be around the £2000 mark, so used would be a percentage of that which is why i am still debating to sell or not

Do these things depreciate in price same as a new car....
Just driving a car off the forecourt reduces the price by an astronomical amount.

Do a search on places like Ebay and Gumtree is the obvious thing to do.

Re: getting a valuation on this

Hi

It is only worth what people will pay for it.The longer you keep it, the less it is worth.

You have two newer Nikons, so why keep it?

The camera body and lens are on sale, used, on Amazon, that should give you a price reference.

Off topic, but an example of how things depreciate.

I have just purchased a less than 2 year old lighting system for my marine aquarium on ebay, complete with receipts and the balance of a 5 year warranty remaining, for £118 delivered.

It cost the seller £603 new.

Take off the sellers ebay commission and paypal fees and he got around £90 for it.
