A Very Handy Tool

I thought I would share with you a tool I have which has proved worth its weight in gold.

Modern electronic equipment from power supplies to light fittings are often precision made and the parts are pressed or glued together.

They are a bugger to open. Over the years I forget how many I have pried open with various screwdrivers. Some time ago I came across this tool called iSesamo basically a very thin piece of spring steel tempered to make it very strong.

If you want to open a tablet, a phone, a radio, power supply or anything that is pressed together or glued then you really need this tool. It is easier to use and does a lot less damage than a screwdriver. It is made in Italy so you should pay a lot less than I did - though there are cheap Chinese copies on eBay. Anyway I highly recommend it.

Those rapscallions at Apple have tried to make their equipment user proof and unrepairable so it was probably designed to overcome that but it works fine on any electronic equipment.

I found a short video about it on Youtube.
